Animal welfare group protests ritual slaughter

About 200 Animals Australia supporters rallied at the MCG in Melbourne to make a case for an end to the slaughter of animals within Australia without stunning.
A handful of abattoirs have special permission not to stun to meet halal and kosher religious requirements.
The issue was being discussed at the Primary Industries Ministerial Council meeting, a gathering of state and Federal ministers.
